Christmas Showcase: Christmas Softly by Tarvel

This Christmas Showcase was an entry from a French company via EILO.

Wool tree

This Company I work for has been running an eco-friendly lawn care program in which they use sheep as lawn mowers on some selected customers ‘sites. Once a year, during Spring time, the process of sheep shearing leaves us with a large amount of woollen fleece, which is sent to a rehab workshop, and transformed into different woollen objects.

About the decs

This past year, they wished to offer their customers a smooth Holiday Season by decorating their Christmas trees with all those soft decorations produced by our partner the rehab center and made with their sheep fleece.

Great recycling and a true team spirit!

The Project

This project's first aim was to be able to propose some Christmas trimmings that make sense:

  • The pine tree comes from a local fir plantation that belongs to one of Tarvel's employees.
  • The decorations are made of raw material – sheep fleece - and recycled by hand in the rehab center.

The three areas of focus directed by the Sustainable Development Policy are gathered here:

  • Social
  • Economical
  • Ecological

And they were combined to create an aesthetic project, very pleasing to the eyes, and soft to the touch.

Indeed, the second purpose of this venture was to offer their customers some special Christmas trimmings with softer features and smoother textures in order to renew with the magical spirit of Christmas and forget about the daily stress and the tough reality of the world today!
